Registration - we simplified the whole process which means that you should (hopefully) find that it takes literally no more than 1 minute to get yourself registered on argo0

Forums - we are about to relaunch these and again, they will be simpler and tie in with your registration much better - ie, students will get access to the relevant forums, members also etc. Tutors will have a private forum area, as will some others frmo the shipping insustry who have requested such - eg, The Maritime Foundation

Glossary - we still have the largest online glossary in the maritime sector, the only difference is that now you can access it for free!!

Search - looking for people, looking for companies? Check out our directory search.. Careful though - if you can’t find someone, it will probably because they have not updated their profile and ticked the ‘make my details public’ - why?? well, we take your privacy seriously and if you don’t want your details to be searchable or published, then we won’t… If on the other hand you want to take advantage of the fact that this site can really help you promote yourself within the industry, then why not publish your details and let people find you!

So, to clarify the process of getting access for ICS things, such as minutes of meetings, or past papers here’s what we ask:

In order to access some information on argo0 you need to create an account first….

Please click JOIN and follow the instructions

Once you have registered your details on argo0, please login, go to MY HOME and UPGRADE YOUR PRIVILIGES

Registered ICS students should enter the student code
Members should enter the members code
Fellow should enter the fellows code
Tutors should… etc

Once you have entered this code, you will be able to access ICS AREA and will also have access to the appropriate forums

If you are not sure what the code is, then please contact us with CODE PLEASE in the subject line AND, please, send your student or membership number as well.

There is quite a bit more to do before the next public beta phase, but we are aiming to get that under way next week.
