Thanks very much for your query. You are absolutely correct about the breakdown of the exam paper and the need for a 50% pass mark. I would however not advise under any circumstances that you attempt on 3 questions. You should definitely look to complete 5 questions within the 3 hours to give yourself the best chance of examination success.

There are no official guidelines in place regarding how many words you should write per question, but my personal advice would be that you should be aiming for about 1000 words per question.

Hope this helps! Good luck with the study:)

hi i be taking the coming exam in April and on a self study mode.

just want to check with fellow senior on the expectation of the exam.

i gather there are 8 question and 5 is compulsary. I guess the marks will be equal which make 1 question with 20 mark,
let say if passing mark is 50% (please confirm this) can i safely say if i manage to score 3 question confidently, i will most probably get a pass.

next thing is the expectation of word ? what is the examiner expectation on this, 1 – 2 pages per answer ?

appreciate some feedback
